Health Benefits of Spices

Cloves
  • ·       For toothache place the clove on affected teeth and chew it.
  • ·       Sucking a piece of clove after a meal helps in reducing acidity.
  • ·       Licking the powder of fried cloves with honey controls vomiting.
  • ·       For muscle cramps or painful joints apply warm clove oil on the affected area and massage.

Cinnamon
  • ·       Put 1-2 drops of cinnamon oil in a cotton ball and press around the tooth, this reduces toothache.
  • ·       Eating a pinch of cinnamon powder controls vomiting.
  • ·       Boil 1 tsp. of cinnamon in 1 cup of water. Cool it and use to gargle as a mouth freshener.

Turmeric
  • ·       Mix  1 tsp. of turmeric and 2 tsp. of ginger with water to make a paste. Spread over a cloth, place it on the affected area and bandage to reduce the pain.
  • ·       A warm glass of milk mixed with turmeric helps in cold and cough.

Garlic
  • ·       For reducing the pain caused by insect bites dab garlic paste on the affected area.
  • ·       Crush 1-2 cloves of garlic and take it with warm water for indigestion.
  • ·       Applying a paste made of crushed garlic cloves and waterto the joints reduces joint stiffness.


Jeera Water


Mostly, people called cumin seed as jeera. Cumin seeds are very famous for their medicinal benefits. Cumin water is used as natural remedy for a number of health problems. Here are few steps to prepare jeera water.



  1. Heat the cumin seeds on low flame.
  2. Keep stirring it until it turns slightly brown.
  3. Then add black pepper and again stir it.
  4. Add 1 cup of water into it and let it boil.
  5. Cover it with lid and let it boil on low flame.
  6. Keep the jeera water boiling until water becomes half a cup and turn reddish in colour. 
Here are some benefits of jeera water:
  • It is beneficial in curing stomach ache, and cramp caused during menstruation.
  • Jeera water is effective in getting rid of acidity and indigestion.
  • Jeera water helps to get rid of dandruff.
  • Jeera water is effective in weight loss.
  • It maintains blood sugar level in the blood.
